It all started ...
University of Alaska's President Johnson with the UA Office of Public Affairs challenged the UA Center for Economic Development under the UAA Business Enterprise Institute to create the University of Alaska's President's Challenge. President Johnson wanted an avenue for innovative students to partner with industry professionals to tackle community problems. Thus, the University of Alaska's President's Challenge was born.
In this inaugural year, the President's Innovation Challenge will bring UAA students and Anchorage community members together over community challenges. After piloting the President's Innovation Challenge in Anchorage, the challenge will expand to the entire University system over subsequent years.
